SARS-CoV-2 Microscopic Image Dataset (SC2-MID) is a dataset constructed by Northeastern University, encompassing 48 electron microscopic images of SARS-CoV-2 and their corresponding Ground Truth images. Through precise pixel-level processing, this dataset ensures clear distinction between the foreground (virus) and background in the images. During its development, the research team extracted various visual features including geometric and texture features by combining the original images and the Ground Truth images. This dataset is primarily used for visual information analysis of the virus, helping medical professionals more accurately identify and classify SARS-CoV-2, and addressing the rapid screening challenges during the global severe pandemic.
