Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 in Spain, the Government to was compelled to declare the state of health alarm on March 14, 2020. The impact of the coronavirus outbreak in Spain was significant in many industries, including advertising. As can be seen in this statistic, during week 12 of the year (March 16-22) a total of 779 hours were devoted to television commercials. This data supposed a decrease of more than 100 hours related to the previous week, representing the greatest decline during that period.
