RNAseq from somite-paired pre-somitic mesoderm from E8.5 embryo tailbuds at the 8-somite developmental stage Overall design: Tailbuds containing the pre-somitic mesoderm from 3 embryos for each genotype (Smchd1+/+ and Smchd1MommeD43/MommeD43) were dissected from E8.5 embryos to be used as biological replicates. The somite number of the embryos is an accurate measure of the developmental stage of embryos. This tissue is the most relevant to look at Hox gene expression.
