Diversity Outbred Mouse Fecal Metagenome Raw Sequence Reads. mouse gut metagenome

We performed shotgun metagenomics sequencing from feces isolated from Diversity Outbred mice maintained on a high fat/high sucrose diet for 22 weeks. These mice are a outbred mouse population, founded by eight commonly-used inbred founder strains. Our goal was to quantify microbial genes and functions present in feces in these genetically diverse mice, and perform an association study to identify regions of the mouse genome that associate with the abundance of a microbial function.
