Beauplan Map Outlines

A primary purpose of the Beauplan’s Ukraine program (https://dataverse.harvard.edu/dataverse/BU) is to generate and maintain a set of graphical and text resources that enable scholars, researchers, and historians to leverage information embedded in Beauplan’s works. The program includes a virtual library of high-resolution digitized Beauplan maps. These maps are stored in a Harvard Dataverse at https://dataverse.harvard.edu/dataverse/BeauplansMaps. In order to assist users in selecting Beauplan maps that cover particular areas in Ukraine and the surrounding area, a Harvard WorldMap has been created with polygons approximating the region covered by each map (https://arcg.is/yyGXC). An explanation of how to use the Beauplan’s Ukraine Outlines WorldMap is available as a Youtube video (https://youtu.be/oawGdtW_kmM). This dataset contains the .shp format files used to create the map outline polygons.
