Control PMNs used for quantification of manuscript JBC-D-24-02545

The project aimed to investigate element fluxes during the interaction of human phagocytes and microbial pathogens. For this purpose, polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs) were incubated with Candida albicans and cryo-preserved at different time points. Controls were also generated, to be able to account for changes in element content upon phagocytic events. Controls were C. albicans alone and PMNs alone. For this mint, only the controls of monocultures of PMNs were used for quantitative purposes.
