Employment in Germany by industry and region, January 2008 – September 2021

This data set contains monthly numbers of employment in Germany in a list of about 70 industry sectors in about 120 Regions (corresponding to Federal Employment Agency districts) from Jan 2008 to Sep 2021, together with a classification of agency districts in terms of population density and the labor market conditions, e.g. unemployment. The labour market regions correspond to the classification by Blien & Hirschenauer (2018).
