Beliefs and Attitudes to Other People's Living Conditions, 1980

The survey examines various sections of the population to find out what they know and feel about the conditions of other sections of the population as regards occupation, working conditions (including personal influence on working conditions), and financial circumstances. It is assumed that the knowledge people have of the living conditions of other sections of the population influences the values which form the basis of people's appraisal of both their own conditions and the distribution of the above-mentioned welfare components on various sections of the population. Thus, the survey also examines the respondent's own objective living conditions as well as her/his knowledge of and attitude to selected, important distribution mechanisms. # The data material was collected in connection with the Danish Omnibus Survey, October 1980 (DDA-0525), under which it is filed
