We used single cell sequencing to examine the response of murine dorsal skin and periwound tissue to vehicle, wild type S. aureus, or S. aureus agr mutant. Dorsal skin of C57 BL/6 mice was wounded or not and wounds or intact skin were inoculated with vehicle, S. aureus, or S. aureus agr mutant. 24 hours after wounding and inoculation, 2mm of intact or periwound tissue was collected and analyzed with scRNAseq.
