Cultural, utilitarian and conservational value of urban vegetation in Spain: beyond the provision of regulating ecosystem services

This repository contains the dataset used to assess the cultural, utilitarian and conservation values of tree and shrub species occurring in Spanish urban green areas. It includes the species inventory analysed, data on cultural references in Spanish poetry, documented utilitarian uses, and information on threatened and invasive status. These data can be used to reproduce the analyses presented in the study, validate the findings, or support further research on the multiple societal values of urban biodiversity and their integration into urban green infrastructure planning and management.
