Nombre: Registered name of the vessel. IMO: Vessel identification number from the International Maritime Organization (if applicable). IRCS: International Radio Call Sign (vessel’s radio signal). Matrícula: National identification code of the vessel in the Spanish registry. Alta en RGFP: Date when the vessel was registered in the General Registry of the Fishing Fleet. Estado: Administrative status of the vessel (active, permanently decommissioned, etc.). Eslora total: Total length of the vessel in meters. Arqueo GT: Gross tonnage, a measure of the vessel's internal volume. Potencia: Engine power in kilowatts (and horsepower in parentheses). Material del casco: Type of material used for the vessel's hull (e.g., wood, steel). Puerto base: Town and province where the vessel is registered. Administración responsable del Registro: Authority in charge of registering the vessel. Censo por modalidad: Type of fishing gear or modality assigned to the vessel (e.g., purse seine, longline, small-scale gear). Capacidad del buque no aportable por: Field reserved to specify if any data is unavailable for some reason. Tipo de auxiliar: If the vessel is an auxiliary one, this field specifies the type. The data covers the period from December 31, 1987 to March 25, 2025, allowing for historical and technical analysis of the evolution of the Spanish fishing fleet over nearly four decades.
