The oligotrophic Paenarthrobacter sp. OM7, has the characteristics of secreting Exopolysaccharides and has a significant effect on promoting the formation of biological crusts. It was isolated from the moss crust sample of Mu Us Sandy Land in Shaanxi Province, China. To exert the sand-fixing ability on loose sand, the sand-fixation properties and whole-genome analysis of P. sp. OM7 were carried out.
