A checklist of wood-inhabiting fungi in burned areas of Chinese forests

This dataset is derived from a systematic investigation of wood-inhabiting fungal resources in major burned areas across China, combined with data from relevant specimens preserved in renowned domestic herbaria. A comprehensive catalog of wood-inhabiting fungi in Chinese forest burned areas was compiled, comprising 347 species belonging to 3 classes, 15 orders, 89 families, and 190 genera of Basidiomycota. Among these, 99 species (approximately 28.5%) are reported for the first time from the unique habitat of burned areas.
