Who is in Favor? Support for Energy Policy Transition Proposals and the Drivers of their Heterogeneity

This dataset accompanies the research article "Who is in Favor? Support for Energy Policy Transition Proposals and the Drivers of their Heterogeneity", which investigates the influence of socio-demographic, behavioral, and economic characteristics on the level of support for potential proposals outlined in the Czech National Energy Concept in four key areas: energy mix, energy savings, energy security, and financial resources. The dataset contains 386 observations collected by the Czech National Panel between June and July 2023 and is representative with respect to place of residence, region, and education. It includes 25 proposals across the four key areas (6 in Energy Mix; 7 in Energy Savings and Efficiency; 5 in Energy Security; 7 in Financial Sources) and 26 socio-economic and behavioral characteristics (Social Value Orientation – SVO, Political Compass, Sex at Birth, Age, Education, Income, Regular Income, Population, Dummy for place of residence, respondent’s employment status, respondent’s heating sources, device used during questionnaire completion, structurally affected region, and information on the regularity of car use). Data are provided in STATA .dta format. A detailed codebook describing all variables is included in the accompanying documentation (List of Variables).
