Zanthoxylum bungeanum SMRT Transcriptome

Zanthoxylum bungeanum is an economic tree species with potential medicinal and edible value, which has a good effect in treating arthritis, diarrhea and other diseases. In addition, Z. bungeanum has the characteristics of drought resistance, infertility resistance and quick-growth, and plays a vital role in water and soil conservation. However, the lack of comprehensive Z. bungeanum genome database limits the excavation of the potential utility value especially the medicinal use, and its in-depth research in breeding and cultivation. Transcriptome sequencing provides an effective approach to this deficiency.
