Impact of the Gut-Lung Axis on Radiation-Induced Lung Injury Pathogenesis

This study investigates the gut-lung axis in radiation-induced lung injury (RILI) through fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). We characterize thoracic irradiation-induced microbial dysbiosis and demonstrate the therapeutic efficacy of FMT against RILI, thereby exploring microbiome-mediated pathways in radiation pneumonitis and fibrotic progression.
