Prediction of host range of plasmids. metagenome

Host range is one of important features for the plasmid to understand how the plasmid could be transferred among different bacteria in the past and future. Here, in silico prediction of the host range of plasmid(s) based on their nucleotide sequences were experimentally confirmed by collecting and identifying transconjugants of the plasmid.Bacterial 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequences of environmental samples including soil and cow manure and those of 15000 transconjugants with plasmid pSN1216-29 isolated from these samples by cell sorter.
