CircRNA expression profiling in plasma of early-stage lung adenocarcinoma patients and healthy controls

This study aimed to explore circRNA expression profiles in the plasma of patients with early-stage lung adenocarcinoma compared to healthy controls. Using Agilent microarray technology, we profiled total RNA extracted from plasma samples of 4 patients with early-stage lung adenocarcinoma (stages IA–IIA) and 4 healthy individuals. All subjects provided peripheral blood samples, and cell-free RNA was isolated from plasma. The objective was to identify potential circRNA biomarkers that could distinguish lung cancer patients from healthy individuals at early stages. Total RNA was extracted from plasma samples of 8 individuals, including 4 early-stage lung adenocarcinoma patients (stage IA or IIA) and 4 age- and gender-matched healthy controls. CircRNA expression profiling was performed using Agilent-072363 microarray platform. Comparative expression analysis was conducted to identify circRNAs that were differentially expressed between cancer and control groups. All samples were processed under the same protocol to minimize technical variation.
