In law, women have equal non-land property rights to men.
A YES score is earned where in law women's equal non-land (vehicles, financial assets, etc.) ownership right is guaranteed, whether because a law explicitly establishes this right, or because no law restricts it (for example, by giving men precedence). A general constitutional principle against discrimination based on gender is NOT enough to score YES.

A mixed score is earned when in law, within the same country, some women have equal non-land (vehicles, financial assets, etc.) ownership rights to men and some don't, when different legal frameworks coexist (civil, customary, sharia, etc.).

A NO score is earned where a law restricts women's equal non-land (vehicles, financial assets, etc.) ownership rights or gives men precedence.
