资源简介:
This record contains the material charts created in the dissertation “Design of Delamination- and Impact-Resistant Fibre Reinforced Composites based on Customized 3D Multilayer Fabrics" by Philipp Maria Huber, RWTH Aachen University, date of oral examination 31.10.2024. The mechanical properties of 12 different 3D-woven carbon fibre-reinforced plastics and a laminated reference were investigated. The investigation includes the tensile properties in warp and weft direction, the compression properties, the inter- and intralaminar shear properties as well as the compression properties after impact. For this purpose, 12 different textile architectures were designed using design of experiments. The parameters z-fibre content, binding type and binder angle were investigated. The fabrics were then produced on an industrial weaving machine and processed into CFRP. The reference was produced using the same processes. All process parameters were kept constant as far as possible. In addition to the mechanical parameters, the architecture was determined using microCT scans. The material charts consist of information on fabric and weaving, composite material and production as well as the basic mechanical characteristics. The fabric details include the designation according to [BCN15]*, a weave pattern and the fibre data. In addition to the machine used, the warp and weft density and the weaving speed are the most important parameters for the weaving process. Further details, e.g. warp tension, cannot be precisely adjusted by users and are therefore deliberately omitted. The information on the composite material includes the infusion process, the resin/hardener system, the cured thickness per layer and the FVG. A representative CT image also provides an impression of the z-reinforcement in the composite material. The basic mechanical values section contains the basic values required for a design. In addition, the CAI values are also listed to enable an estimation of the damage tolerance. *[BCN15] Boussu, F.; Cristian, I.; Nauman, S.: General definition of 3D warp interlock fabric architecture Composites Part B: Engineering 81 (2015), S. 171–188, doi: 10.1016/j.compositesb.2015.07.013
