Rhesus macaque Skin Microbiome raw sequence reads

This group of macaques (USA: Cayo Santiago) are part of a free-ranging research colony and various biological samples are taken yearly, including skin swabs to collect microbes. They exhibit social groups and display social behaviors, such as dominance and grooming, that are used as a guide to understand similar behaviors in humans. In addition, microbial diversity is examined to find ecological significance of social behaviors or environmental influences.
