The goal of this study is to obtain a high-quality genome sequence of Drosophila albomicans. Based on a PacBio sequencing from female DNA, a high-quality genome assembly is obtained first. Next, based on a HiSeq sequencing from female and male DNA, a high-quality Neo-Y chromosome assembly is also obtained.
