Community Protection of Threatened Species and Cultural Heritage in Port Phillip Project 1

This project will deliver significant environmental improvements and long-term benefits to the Port Phillip coastline which is of high community and Indigenous cultural value. Threatening processes to be managed include weed invasion, erosion and sedimentation. Creating strong partnerships with local friends groups and Indigenous communities will significantly improve the condition of Threatened Ecological Communities and protect species and their habitats (Australasian Bittern). The team will also protect Indigenous cultural sites, by contributing to tasks such as erosion management and protecting middens.
