Locuciones denominativas en un corpus de la variedad argentina del español

The present work belongs to the sphere of a number of phraseological studies dedicated to Spanish from Argentina; in the specific case we analyze a sample of nouns (nominal denominative locutions) (Corpas Pastor 1996; García Platero 2000), which contain, in their internal structure, lexemes referred to parts of human or animal anatomy in order to investigate the metaphorical uses and functions generated in the Argentinean society (Lakoff y Johnson 1980). The analyzed locutions come from a corpus of phraseologisms extracted by hand from various lexicographical sources of Spanish of Argentina: Diccionario del español de Argentina, Español de Argentina – Español de España (DEArg 2000), Diccionario del habla de los argentinos (DIHA 2003), Diccionario de voces y expresiones argentinas (DVEA 1994) and Diccionario fraseológico del habla argentina. Frases, dichos y locuciones (DiFHA 2010). Several morph-syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects are studied in this paper. The result of the qualitative analysis presented in this article is the categorical identification of the somatic nouns (nominal denominative locutions) of Argentinean language, which present a strong expressivity also reflected in the high percentage of metaphorical and metonymic units.
