The objectives of this study were to identify bacteria associated five different phases of straw-cow manure compost by assessing its PCR amplicon of 16S rDNA with the Illumina metagenomics technique used to generate a total of 653,057 reads from the samples. The analyses revealed that Proteobacteria were typical for early mesophilic stage (MP), second mesophilic stage (MP2), and mature compost (COMP).
