Natural plankton respiration measured by oxygen consumption and Iodo-Nitro-Tetrazolium (INT) reduction methods during Atlantic Meridional Transect cruise AMT28 (JR18001) between September 2018 and October 2018.

This dataset contains Microbial Community Respiration (MCR) measured from discrete CTD water samples taken from depths between the surface and 200 m between September and October 2018 during Atlantic Meridional Transect cruise AMT28 (JR18001). Respiration was determined as the decrease in dissolved oxygen after a dark incubation measured by Winkler titration, and as the production of formazan by the cellular electron transport system measured by the Iodo-Nitro-Tetrazolium (INT) reduction method for the REMineralisation of organic carbon by marine bActerIoplanktoN (REMAIN) project (NE/R000956/1).
