Data and analysis datasets for "Seasonal reorganization of hydraulic accessibility shifts water uptake from soil to weathered bedrock in Platycladus orientalis"
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the datasets supporting the manuscript entitled “Seasonal reorganization of hydraulic accessibility shifts water uptake from soil to weathered bedrock in Platycladus orientalis”. The archive includes:(1) borehole and profile data used to characterize subsurface stratigraphy, groundwater non-occurrence within the observation depth, and trench layout;(2) soil and weathered-bedrock physical and hydraulic property datasets, including water-retention and conductivity-related data;(3) continuous monitoring datasets for precipitation, profile water content, water potential, sap flow, and soil-/bedrock-to-canopy water-potential differences;(4) root distribution and root–substrate relationship datasets;(5) stable isotope datasets and source-partitioning results used to quantify seasonal shifts in water uptake from soil and weathered bedrock. The study was conducted in a mature Platycladus orientalis stand at the Beijing National Forest Ecosystem Research Station, northern China, during 2024. The datasets support analyses of root occurrence in weathered bedrock, seasonal changes in hydraulic accessibility, and shifts in plant water-source use between soil and weathered bedrock. File-level notes, variable descriptions, and workflow information are provided in the repository documentation. No custom software package was developed for this study; analyses were conducted using standard statistical and ecohydrological workflows as described in the manuscript and repository files.
