LISSS

The LISSS dataset is a Spanish literary sentence dataset focused on sentiment detection, developed by the University of Avignon and Polytechnique Montréal. It contains 230 literary sentences that have been manually classified into five emotion categories: love, fear, happiness, anger, and sadness/pain. The data is sourced from the works of 140 Spanish-language writers or translators, and it is intended to evaluate and develop sentiment classification and detection algorithms. During the creation of the dataset, each sentence was carefully read and manually classified to ensure the accuracy of the expressed emotions. The LISSS dataset is suitable for testing and validating the performance of natural language processing algorithms in literary sentiment classification tasks, especially when dealing with the emotional complexity and multi-emotion expressions present in literary texts.
