Data from: Towards a functional understanding of rehabilitated urban road verge grasslands: Effects of planting year, site conditions, and landscape factors

Collected data from herbaceous vegetation plots across an urbanization gradient in road verges of Munich, Germany. Vegetation surveys were conducted to assess the cover of standing vegetation in existing road verges (controls) and in experimental plots after one year of sowing seed mixtures of native grasslands species. Data on landscape and site variables was also gathered in order to test the relationship between landscape and site factors with the recorded vegetation. Functional traits (establishment and persistence and floral) of the plant species present in the seed mixture, the established, one-year-old vegetation, and control plots was collected from available databases.
