Supporting files for: the impact of livestock farming on global fire regimes

Files here support publication of "The impact of livestock farming on global fire regimes" (submitted).

The top directory contains code to analyse the results, a shapefile of the world bank regions, and outputs of the generalised linear models of Haas et al., (2022), ERL, doi: 10.1088/1748-9326/ac6a69. These are combined with outputs from this study to produce the paper's findings.

Additional sub-directories are as follows:

1. Generics: these are widely used secondary data used to drive the model, and provided here for convenience. See the folder readme for citations

2. HANPP: these are data from the Human Appropriation of Primary Production (HANPP) used to evaluate the model and provided here for convenience. See the folder readme for citations. 

3. Livestock routine: This contains the code to run the livestock grazing intensity algorithm.

4. Results: This contains livestock grazing intensity and pastoral fire use results.

5. WHAM _025: This contains code & data to install & run the wildfire human agency model (WHAM!) at 0.25 degree resolution. See Perkins et al., (2024), GMD, doi: 10.5194/gmd-17-3993-2024.
