Hwan Le Hwa Wayang Potehi Description Table
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains visual documentation and a structured descriptive analysis of Hwan Le Hwa, a female character in Wayang Potehi, a traditional Chinese glove-puppet performance art practiced in Indonesia. The material is presented in the form of a descriptive table that systematically records the puppet’s visual and material attributes, including media and materials, performing technique, size and shape, facial characteristics, costume, hairstyle, and head ornaments, attributes (weapons), and overall visual impression. The analysis is based on photographic documentation of the puppet and follows the descriptive stage of E. B. Feldman’s art-critical method, emphasizing objective observation of visual elements before formal, interpretive, and evaluative analysis. Particular attention is given to features that distinguish female Potehi figures, such as costume motifs, color schemes, accessories, and performative attributes, despite the relatively standardized facial features characteristic of Potehi puppets
