Time Series SSP Data in Indian Ocean

This dataset provides processed Sound Speed Profile (SSP) time-series derived from the GDCSM ARGO global ocean dataset for the period 2004\u20132024. The original monthly NetCDF files provided by original authors contain temperature, salinity, and pressure measurements on a 0.5\u00b0 \u00d7 0.5\u00b0 spatial grid and 58 non-uniform depth levels. From these files, sound speed values were already provided in the source dataset and were extracted and organized into a structured machine-learning\u2013ready format.The final processed dataset consists of 3019 location-specific CSV files, where each file corresponds to one unique ocean grid point. Each file contains 252 rows representing monthly observations from January 2004 to December 2024, and 58 columns, each representing a distinct depth level. Thus, each file provides a complete 21-year SSP time-series profile across all depth intervals for that location.This dataset enables fine-scale analysis of long-term underwater acoustic variability, supports training and evaluation of deep learning models, and facilitates spatiotemporal oceanographic studies in regions of interest, including the Indian Ocean. The structured CSV format ensures easy integration into data-driven workflows, and accompanying documentation and scripts support full reproducibility.
