Statistical Evidence on the Impact of Foreshock Effects on the Kelvin-Helmholtz Waves at the Earth's Magnetopause

This repository archives the subsets of Kelvin-Helmholtz encounters from the Kavosi et al. (2023, doi: 10.1038/s41467-023-37485-x) dataset used in Grimmich et al.'s study of the same name. The three datasets ('KH_properties_v3_?') are identical in terms of associates soalr wind conditions, shock configuration at event number. only the wave paramter at the the associated magnetosheath and mangeotpsher values at the boundary are diffrent depending on the meothd used to estimate them as described in the SI to the Grimmich et al.'s study. Each file head briefly describes the file and mentions the method used for wave parameter estimation. Additionally, the intervals gathered for validating the shock angle estimation can be found in the 'C3_MSH_intervals_01-09_validation_tracing_method' file.
