Disclosed are of double stranded rna molecules that are toxic for hemipteran insects. In particular， are provided of interfering rna molecules capable of interfering with target genes of pests and that are toxic for the pest target. Also disclosed are methods for producing and using the interfering rna， by example， in transgenic plants or as the active ingredient of one composition， for conferring protection against the damage caused by insects.
