Two salts with one-dimensional, SiS2-type
telluridostannate
chain anions {[MSnTe4]2–}n, Rb2[HgSnTe4] (2) and (NMe4)2[MnSnTe4] (3), were prepared by the reactions of [SnTe]4– anions
with Hg2+ or Mn2+ ions in solution. We present
the crystal structures of 2 and 3, as well
as the magnetic properties of the previously reported Cs+ analogue Cs2[MnSnTe4] (1).
