Resistance and Aerobic Exercise Intervention Induces Differential DNA Methylation in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: a clinical trial study

This is a study to identify the effects of exercise on the epigenome of women diagnosed with Poly Cistic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), to understand if Resistence training, or continuous training had any positive effect on disease outcome. Whole blood samples were collected from 112 females with PCOS. 60 were placed on a Resistence Training workout, and 52 were placed on an Aerobic Continuous workout. Differences in methylation patterns were subsequently assesed, as well as the overall state of PCOS symptoms.
