PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine fibrous cellulose-containing composition that can lower the viscosity of a fine fibrous cellulose fluid dispersion without changing the concentration of the fine fibrous cellulose， and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: Provided is a fine fibrous cellulose-containing composition， containing a fine fibrous cellulose having a fiber width of 1，000 nm or less， and chlorine-containing oxo acid or a salt thereof， and in which the content of chlorine-containing oxo acid or a salt thereof for 100 pts.mass of fine fibrous cellulose is 0.0001 pts.mass or more and 10 pts.mass or less.
