The salt Huama Lake is an alkali-carbonate type, endorheic, and hypersaline lake located in the driest and coldest part of Northern Shaanxi, China. These hypersaline niches harbor halotolerant and halophilic microbes and salt-tolerant genes. To dig these functional genes, we constructed a fosmid library of environment DNA extracted from hypersaline sediments of Huama. And then, putative salt-tolerant genes were analyzed based on high-through sequencing and bio-information.
