Red Sea Coral Bleaching Event Catalogue (RS-CBFP D1) v3.6

Harmonised catalogue of coral bleaching observations in the Red Sea, compiled from published literature, grey literature and published supplementary datasets: 1083 records from 28 sources: dated field observations 1998-2025, coral-core stress-band proxy records 1931-2015 and 5 undated qualitative records from a desktop review. The unit of record is reef/site x date (x depth). Records carry the source citation and locator, verbatim source wording for every severity value, an ordinal severity (0-4) and binary label, confidence and coordinate-uncertainty classes, distance to shore, a position-derived region, and duplicate and QC flags; 861 records are flagged usable for model training, with the reason stated for every record that is not. Every change since the independently re-verified v3 is logged cell by cell with its evidence, and every record added since v3 has a one-step provenance record. How the records were extracted and checked is stated in DATA_PROVENANCE_STATEMENT.md. The access-restricted 2024 KSA survey dataset is not included.
