The Department of Primary Industries is responsible for agriculture, earthresources, energy, fisheries and game, and forestry in Victoria, and designsand delivers government policies and programs which enable Victoria's primaryindustries to maximise employment, wealth and wellbeing for Victorianfamilies, regions and communities. The Department works with energy companies, research partners, primaryproducers, mineral explorers and rural communities across Victoria, as well asother government departments and national and international researchassociates, to address the major and emerging challenges in productivity andsustainability.
