SRµCT scan of a symbiotic
Bathymodiolus azoricus plantigrade. The mussel was sampled at the Bubbylon
hydrothermal vent (37.801 N; -31.537 E) at 1002 m water depth in 2010. The
mussel was fixed with 2.5% glutaraldehyde and stored in Trump's solution. The sample was scanned at the DESY in Hamburg Germany.
