It stores the average values of land surface temperature and emissivity under clear-sky conditions over an 8-day period, with a sinusoidal projection. MOD11A2 includes daytime and nighttime datasets, quality assessment information, observation times, viewing angles, the number of clear-sky daytime and nighttime observation days, as well as land surface emissivity estimates for different land cover types in bands 31 and 32.
