Deep learning-based object detection on LiDAR-derived hillshade images: Insights into grain size distribution and longitudinal sorting of debris flows

This dataset consists of the hillshade images produced from 3D lidar point clouds which were collected at three stations (CDG, CD27, CD29) along the Illgraben debris-flow channel on 5 June 2022. The point clouds from which the hillshades were generated are available at https://doi.org/10.3929/ethz-b-000736836. The hillshade represent the first 10000 scans collected during the debris-flow event at a scan rate 10 Hz. Hillshades were genereated with a resoltion of 0.02 m.
