Data for: Towards a Carbon-Neutral Economy: The Dynamics of Factor Substitution in Germany

This document includes dataset and codes used in the paper "Towards a Carbon-Neutral Economy: The Dynamics of Factor Substitution in Germany". The explanation of data file is as follows 1-) panel_transform_all shows how to transform raw data to the industrial factor shares, prices and outputs used in the estimations. 2-) panel_aggregates is data used in the estimations at the aggregated level. 3-) panel_industries is data used in the estimation at the industrial level. There are two stata codes used in the paper. 1-) code_aggregates produces estimation results for the aggregates. To save space, we share the codes only for one aggregate. One can produce all results presented in paper only by changing ID number. Do not forget to navigate the directory and data file. 2-) code_industries produces estimation results for the industries.
