The objectives of this study are to delve deeply into the pathogenesis of calf diarrhea within the first month of life and explore effective treatment methods. Additionally, we aim to compare and study the differences in gut microbiota and metabolites between healthy calves and those with diarrhea. This research holds significant importance not only for understanding the pathophysiological processes of calf diarrhea but also for formulating scientific prevention and control strategies, improving calf survival rates, and promoting the healthy development of the cattle breeding industry. By uncovering the pathogenesis of calf diarrhea, we hope to provide the cattle breeding industry with more precise and effective prevention and treatment methods, thereby reducing economic losses and enhancing overall breeding efficiency.
