Different cells composition and novel somatic KCNJ5 variant were found in a patient with bilateral Adrenocortical adenomas secreting aldosterone and cortisol respectively

A 41 years old Chinese woman with severe hypertension for five years and hypokalemia for two years. The whole exome sequencing was performed on the DNA extracted from peripheral blood leukocytes and bilateral adrenal adenomas to determine whether the patient has relevant variants associated with Primary aldosteronism and Cushing syndrome. A novel somatic heterozygous missense variant KCNJ5 was detected in the left adrenal adenoma.
