Drug effects on the Brugia malayi Transcriptome

Three different drugs are used as part of efforts to eliminate lymphatic filariasis as a public health problem. The aim of this project is to determine the effects of these three rugs, albendazole, diethylcarbamizine and ivermectin, on gene expression in adult and larval stages of Brugia malayi. This parasite is one of the causative agents of the disease, and the only one that can be maintained under laboratory conditions.
