资源简介:
These X-ray data support the paper Pakzad et al. Improved X-ray computed tomography reconstruction of the largest fragment of the Antikythera Mechanism, an ancient Greek astronomical calculator, (2018). All the data relate to A Scan 6, abbreviated as A6. A6 RAW DATA and A6 REN & CORR data have been divided into folders with about 300 projections in each, because of current file size limitations in the Harvard Dataverse. 1. A6 RAW DATA (23.8 GB) contains the raw data gathered by X-Tek Systems in Athens in 2005. There are 3,052 16-bit TIFF files with dimensions 2048 x 2048. 2. A6 REN & CORR plus 25 (23.4 GB) includes 2,957 Renumbered & Corrected projections with 25 additional 64,000 grey-scale projections where these were missing from the original scan. There are 2,957 + 25 = 2,982 16-bit TIFF files with dimensions 2048 x 2048 for a full rotation of 360º. 3. A6 TIFF stack (2.27 GB) is an image stack of TIFF images through the volume reconstructed with 25 missing projections. The spacing of the images is 100 microns. 4. A6 JPEG stack (653 MB) is an image stack of JPEG images through the volume reconstructed with 25 missing projections. The spacing of the images is 100 microns.
