Responses of Bacterial Communities to Creseis acicula Blooms

In the present study, the C. acicula feeds on organic particles such as diatoms, dinoflagellates, and microcrustaceans through filter feeding. We suspect that this filter feeding habit and significant proliferation of C. acicula are likely to have indirect impacts on bacteria. Therefore, High-throughput sequencing was used to examine the variations in bacterial communities resulting from the C. acicula bloom. The aim of this study was to gather valuable information to gain further understanding about the zooplankton bloom and bacteria interactions, as well as providing insights into the effect of zooplankton bloom on the coastal waters.
