Data and code for scientific paper: "Water quality changes, amphibian community response and chytrid infection load effects downstream from a coal mine"

This project contains data (and a README.txt file), R code for statistical analyses and figure generation for the study: "Water quality changes, amphibian community response and chytrid infection load effects downstream from a coal mine".Data was collected in the uppermost part of the Hacking River and nearby streams within 130 Royal National Park, which is approximately 30 km south of Sydney, NSW between 12 Dec 2022 and 28 Feb 2023. The aim of the study was to investigate the ecological and physico-chemical effects of being situated downstream from coal mine waste water discharge points.The analyses include Prinicple Component Analysis, Welch t test, Linear Models, Linear Mixed Models, and Generalised Linear Mixed Models.The figures include a Principle Component Analysis plot, boxplots with shape points, and bar plots.<b>Funding</b>. This study is partially funded by a local environmental group (the Sutherland Shire Environmental Centre) by means of a Local Environment of Australia Funding (LEAF) grant.<b>Ethics statement</b>. All procedures were conducted with approval from the Newcastle University Animal Ethics Committee (ARA Number: A-2019-924).<b>Permits</b>. Work is done under a scientific license (number: SL100190). Approval was given by NPWS to conduct surveys in the Royal National Park.
